The Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma is so grateful to Chick-fil-A for their generous and meaningful contribution to our mission. They gave us a grant to go towards our Backpack Program, a resource for school children. 60% of school-aged children rely on free or reduced priced breakfast and lunch for the majority of their meals. During weekends or school breaks, and these meals are not provided, families need additional help. The Backpack Program sends these kids home with meals and snacks so that they are not questioning where their next meal will come from.
With this grant from Chick-fil-A, we will be able to provide 100,000 meals to children who receive food from the Backpack Program. Thank you so much to Chick-fil-A for helping us feed kids!
