Reasor’s Donates Nearly $80,000 in Food Items to Support Families During Christmas Season!

We are grateful to Brookshire Grocery Company (BGC), parent company of Reasor’s for this amazing donation which included 1,300 hams and a

truckload of fresh produce! “We are very proud to annually partner with Hormel Foods and to donate $100,000 in hams to nonprofits, including the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma,” said Brad Brookshire, Chairman and CEO for Brookshire Grocery Co. “We are dedicated to making a difference in our stores and the communities we serve. We are proud to help thousands of families this Christmas holiday with this partnership with Hormel for their Hams for Hunger program.”

Additionally, BGC donated more than $65,000 worth of fresh produce to the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. That’s 40,000 pounds of fresh produce that will help feed those in need this holiday season. Hormel Foods, BGC., and the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma held a special event at the Broken Arrow Reasor’s located at 1100 E Kenosha Street as part of the store’s grand re-opening!  Representatives from each organization discussed the significance of this donation in supporting hunger relief in communities supported by the food bank.   “Food insecurity continues to impact over half a million Oklahomans each year,” said Jeff Marlow, President and CEO of the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. “The Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma is grateful to work with partners like Reasor’s and Hormel Hams for Hunger especially now so the holidays can be brighter for families and individuals in need. Every campaign with BGC and Reasor’s has been a tremendous success helping several thousand people facing hunger in Oklahoma.”The makers of the Hormel® Cure 81® brand created the Hormel® Cure 81® Hams for Hunger™®program in 1989. The program involves a partnership between Hormel Foods and grocery retailers across the country.
