The Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma is so thankful to Arvest Bank for their generous contribution to our cause. This year, Arvest celebrated the 16th anniversary of their annual Million Meals campaign. Million Meals is an amazing project that benefits local food partners across Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, and Kansas, and FBEO is grateful to be one of the benefitting organizations. “Food insecurity affects people in ways we may not always see, so the kindness of our community is especially important,” said Rebecca Lewis, sales manager for Arvest Bank – Tulsa Region. “Thank you to everyone who supported the Million Meals campaign this year. Your donations help local food pantries and show that together, we can make sure no one faces hunger alone.” Since it began in 2011, the Million Meals initiative has raised more than $5.7 million and provided over 31 million meals.
This year, Arvest Bank raised $40,000 from the Million Meals campaign for the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. This is equal to 160,000 meals for families in need across Eastern Oklahoma which is a huge impact and will help so many in our communities who are facing food insecurity.
