“We are One” Day of Service on Martin Luther King Day!

“We are One” Day of Service at the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma honored Martin Luther King! We are grateful for this special event which local groups like Alpha Alpha Alpha (Tulsa chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority) host to help their community and to provide this Day of Service honoring Dr. Martin Luther King! Thousands of volunteers make a tremendous difference for us each year, saving us  more than a million dollars in production costs!

The Alpha Alpha Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is a dynamic group of women dedicated to uplifting the Broken Arrow and Tulsa Metropolitan Area through purposeful service and sisterly action. Under the leadership of Chapter President, Lynetria Rhodes-Johnson, and guided by her vision of Empowering People, Inspiring Change (E.P.I.C.), the sorority is committed to serving our communities and creating meaningful impact. The MLK “We Are One” AKA Day of Service honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through unified service work focused on opportunity, equity, and lasting change.  Coretta Scott King was also a member of this Sorority. Check out just some of the coverage this wonderful story received!
