Hardesty Family Foundation Donates $100,000!

The Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma extends its deepest gratitude to the Hardesty Family Foundation for its continued partnership and leadership in the fight against hunger. Through their support and this particular donation, local pantries and meal programs across 24 counties will be better equipped to meet the growing demand for food assistance and ensure that more Oklahomans can share a holiday meal with their loved ones. The Hardesty Foundation donation will offset the cost of turkeys, turkey breasts, and hams as well as help provide ready-made, chef-created Thanksgiving meals prepared by the Food Bank’s Culinary Center for families throughout Tulsa. These meals will bring comfort and nourishment to those struggling to make ends meet amid rising food costs and the loss of SNAP benefits.
Give a Gobble Success

Our first Give a Gobble Day with Reasor’s was a huge success! Thanks to the generous shoppers at the Reasor’s in South Broken Arrow, so many families will now have a beautiful Thanksgiving dinner. The Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma staff and volunteers collected 59 turkeys, 8 hams, and more than 1,000 pounds of side dishes to help fill holiday tables across our community. All donations will be delivered to our network of more than 600 partner pantries and meal programs across 24 counties in eastern Oklahoma. We are truly grateful for Reasor’s continued support and partnership throughout the year. This event came at a moment when the need is greater than ever, and our neighbors responded with incredible generosity.
| Volunteer Highlight |

This is one of the busiest times of year at the Food Bank. With the holidays approaching and recent cuts to SNAP benefits across the country, the demand for food assistance has grown tremendously. Our dedicated staff has been working tirelessly to keep pace with the need, but the workload continues to rise. To help meet this challenge, we’ve recently introduced a new volunteer opportunity: Warehouse Inventory Support. Volunteers in this role assist with pulling large orders for our partner agencies, ensuring that food reaches families quickly and efficiently. We could not do what we do without our faithful and dedicated volunteers. The Rush Truck Group has been a steadfast supporter of our mission for many years, and once again they’ve stepped up in a big way. This season they committed a team of their staff to volunteer in our warehouse on a weekly basis, helping to keep up with the growing demand. Their generosity goes beyond business—it’s about strengthening the community. To the entire Rush Truck team: thank you! We deeply appreciate your commitment, time, and the difference you continue to make for families across eastern Oklahoma.
