The Give-a-Ham challenge is here and our CEO and President Jeff Marlow has an easy challenge for you. Bring a ham here to the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma for a family in need this holiday season! It’s all part of the Oklahoma Pork Council’s annual Give-A-Ham Campaign. “Each year, the Oklahoma Pork Council proudly kicks off the Give-A-Ham campaign on Giving Tuesday, finding meaningful ways to give back to Oklahomans and communities across the state through Christmas Eve, said Kylee Deniz, Executive Director of the Oklahoma Pork Council. “We’re incredibly proud to see pork producers and allied industry members stepping up to make a difference. One standout example is the generosity of our board member, Brett Ramsey, and his team at Blue and Gold Sausage of Jones, Oklahoma. Their donation of more than 8,700 pounds of protein to the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma and their day of service at Iron Gate, where they served nearly 500 Tulsans in need, is nothing short of humbling.” Check out just some of the media coverage of this day here:
The Oklahoma Pork Council’s past president—Angie Johnson, a pig farmer and First United Bank of Wewoka President initiated the #GiveAHam challenge to us recently. The challenge chain continues to evolve as celebrities like Reba McEntire jumped in! We’re in! You can drop off your donated ham during business hours at the Food Bank. We are at 1304 N. Kenosha Avenue in Tulsa. Our number is 918-585-2800.

“It’s an honor to work alongside individuals and companies so passionate about supporting their communities and ensuring no one goes without. This is what the spirit of giving truly looks like,” according to Ms. Deniz.
Thank you for helping a family in need this holiday season!
