FAQ for Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma donors

Tell me more about the Food Bank

Our food sourcing model relies on three primary channels:

  • 19% of our food comes from USDA provisions
  • Community and retail partners generously donate 55%
  • The Food Bank purchases the remaining 26%

When you make a monetary contribution, you play a vital role in supporting the 26% of the food we purchase. Thanks to our special partnerships with wholesale retailers, every $1 you donate enables us to acquire at least 4 meals for those in need. Your contribution goes a long way in ensuring that no one goes hungry in our community.

The Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma extends its reach across 24 counties in the eastern Oklahoma region. Your generous donation plays a vital role in our mission to alleviate food insecurity in the following counties: Adair, Cherokee, Choctaw, Craig, Creek, Delaware, Haskell, Latimer, Le Flore, Mayes, McCurtain, McIntosh, Muskogee, Nowata, Okmulgee, Osage, Ottawa, Pittsburg, Pushmataha, Rogers, Sequoyah, Tulsa, Wagoner, and Washington.
