Give now to help end hunger

Every $1 you give provides at least 4 meals to hungry members of your community.

The Food Bank serves your neighbors throughout eastern Oklahoma

Children
During the school year, 84% of kids in Oklahoma depend on free-and-reduced lunches. Outside of school, 1 in 4 kids in the state has limited access to nutrient-dense meals.
Families

Nearly 1 in 6 Oklahomans struggles daily with food insecurity. Your donation provides much-needed relief to parents who must choose between keeping the lights on and putting food on the table.

Seniors
Food insecurity is a major concern for people above the age of 65 in Oklahoma. Our Serving Seniors program delivers groceries directly to those who need food.
Veterans
Hunger deeply affects our nation’s veterans. Up to 27% of recent active-duty veterans struggle to put food on the table.

Your support provides nutritious food to people who need it.

Your donation to the Food Bank benefits us all

Eastern Oklahoma is one of the nation’s most food-insecure areas for children, but we’re committed to reducing the food-insecurity rate for children from 21% to 10%.

Up to 11% of Oklahoma seniors face hunger daily. Your support helps provide meals to Oklahoma’s fastest growing demographic.

With 110,000 military veterans living in the Food Bank’s service area, many veterans and their families are also food insecure.

  • Lower your taxable income. As a 501(c)(3) organization, any financial contribution you make to the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma is tax-deductible.
  • Give directly toward hunger relief. Rest assured that your donation feeds hungry people and covers both the cost of food and distribution to those in need.

How we feed thousands of families in need

The Food Bank has been feeding the families of eastern Oklahoma since 1981.

The USDA projects that our community will become the nation’s most food-insecure area for children, so the 28 million pounds of food we deliver annually are necessary to end hunger in Oklahoma.

As we continue the fight against hunger in the 24 counties we serve in eastern Oklahoma, we will need to provide thousands of more meals to meet the increased need.

  • Step 1: Build relationships. Since 1981, we have been feeding families in eastern Oklahoma and building lasting relationships with farmers, retailers, and other members of our community.
  • Step 2: Focus on fresh fruits and vegetables. Our goal is to provide a healthy mix of shelf-stable groceries, fresh produce, and hot meals. Last year, fresh produce made up 45% of our distributed food.
  • Step 3: Partner with food pantries. We serve 24 counties across eastern Oklahoma by providing 28 million pounds of food to more than 600 partner pantries at little or no cost.
