Sweet and Safe

Board Member and friend of the Food Bank, Jeanne Jacobs, has created a variety of fun, colorful masks to benefit the Food Bank. These masks can be purchased at Sweet Tooth Candy & Gift Company for $10, all of which will help fight hunger in our community.

“As a member of the Board of the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, the Food Bank and the many individuals in our community who are struggling with hunger are constantly on my mind, especially in these troubling times.

My Oklahoma upbringing taught me that we are responsible one for another, and that our job in life is to leave this world better than we found it. During these many weeks of self-isolation, my usually busy hands needed something to do, so I started making masks for my family & close friends, then expanded to supply masks for the volunteers helping to distribute meals.

My friends at the Sweet Tooth have now generously joined the campaign, selling masks at their shop for $10 each, with the entire $10 being donated to the Food Bank. We hope that our efforts will help encourage people to be considerate of others by wearing masks when in public. The funds generated will help those in need to be able to eat and feed their families with healthy food.” – Jeanne Jacobs
