Every year, the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma facilitates several conferences for its partner agencies as a means to share information, inform of best practices, provide networking opportunities, and more. Three regional conferences were held in 2019 in Wilburton (Latimer Co), Tulsa (Tulsa Co), and Pryor (Mayes Co). We had about 130 people attend from 85 different partner agencies. Our presenters included Ellen Pogemiller, State Advocacy and Public Policy Director, of the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma; Robin Spillman and Treba Shyers of Hunger Free Oklahoma, and Austin Brewer, Manager of Agency Network Services, of the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.
In 2018, three regional conferences were held in Albion (Pushmataha Co), Broken Arrow (Tulsa Co), and Claremore (Rogers Co). Our presenters included three CFBEO employees: Cindy Cummins, Managing Director of Customer Relations and Capacity; Frances Bevel, Grants Manager; and Austin Brewer, Manager of Agency Services and Capacity.
In 2017, six regional conferences were held in Hugo (Choctaw Co), McAlester (Pittsburg Co), Tulsa (Tulsa Co), Muskogee (Muskogee Co), Pryor (Mayes Co), and Bartlesville (Washington Co). Our presenters included Steve Lehto, of the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma; Effie Craven of Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma; and Teressia Kehr of the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.
