Oklahoma Table Summit

When it comes to fighting hunger, no single organization can do it alone.

That belief was at the heart of the Oklahoma Table Summit, where leaders from across
Oklahoma’s food system gathered at the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma to discuss a shared
challenge: how do we meet the growing need for food assistance across our state?

Hosted in partnership with Seaboard Foods, the Oklahoma Pork Council, and the Food Bank of
Eastern Oklahoma, the summit brought together FFA Students, farmers, and community partners
for an important conversation about strengthening Oklahoma’s food network and creating
sustainable solutions for families facing hunger.

The event served as a reminder that hunger is not simply a food bank issue, it’s a community
issue. Addressing it requires collaboration between agriculture, nonprofit organizations, and
Oklahoma leaders who are committed to improving the lives of Oklahomans.

That commitment was demonstrated in a powerful way through the generosity of Seaboard
Foods and the Oklahoma Pork Council, who donated 40,000 pounds of pork to the Food Bank of
Eastern Oklahoma. This significant contribution will help provide high-quality protein to
families throughout Eastern Oklahoma, ensuring that thousands of meals include a nutritious and
valuable source of protein.

While the donation itself will make an immediate impact, the conversations held during the
Oklahoma Table Summit focused on something even bigger. Building a stronger food system for
the future.

The Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma is grateful for partners like Seaboard Foods and the
Oklahoma Pork Council who understand that addressing hunger requires both action and
collaboration.

The Oklahoma Table Summit showcased what is possible when organizations come together
around a common purpose. Through partnership, leadership, and a commitment to serving
others, we can continue building stronger communities and creating lasting solutions to hunger
across Oklahoma.

Because the most meaningful change happens when everyone has a seat at the table.
