Hunger Stories
Fighting hunger is more than just distributing pounds of food. It is about the individuals we serve. The people struggling with food-insecurity are unsure of where they will get their next meal. They feel they can’t reach their full potential because they constantly struggle to make ends meet. Most of all, they just need something to eat.
Although the feelings of vulnerability and the pain of hunger are similar, each person’s hunger story is unique, and so is the gratitude felt when food and relief are provided. For people who are hungry, realizing someone else cared enough to help a stranger can bring as much comfort as does the food assistance.
We hope you find meaning in their stories.
