There are many ways to support the Food Bank including attending a special event, participating in a food/fund drive or supporting a community promotion.
Restaurant Week — Restaurant Week patrons can select from a variety of three-course lunch and dinner menus designed to suit any taste and budget September 6-14, 2014. 10% of proceeds from Restaurant Week benefit the Food Bank’s Food for Kids program. Check back in August for a list of participating restaurants and menus.
Thanksgiving Day Race — Thanksgiving is a day of many traditions—a house full of food, family and football. We invite you to start a new Thanksgiving Day tradition with your family by joining us at Guthrie Green on November 27, 2014 for the 2nd Annual Tulsa Thanksgiving Day Race, benefiting the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.
Recipe to End Hunger – Learn the secrets of some of Tulsa’s finest chefs, enjoy a complete three-course meal, including wine pairings, and help fund our hunger-relief programs. The classes are held in the demonstration kitchen of our Culinary Center. Click here for more information.
Plant A Row for the Hungry — Launched in 1995 by the Garden Writers Association (GWA), Plant A Row for the Hungry is a people-helping-people program that encourages gardeners to grow a little extra and donate the produce to local soup kitchens and food pantries serving the homeless and hungry in their local communities.
