Healthy Cooking Classes
The chefs in the Culinary Center offer a variety of cooking classes tailored to meet specific needs. The Food Bank collaborates with community partners to educate on topics such as healthy cooking on a budget, heart-healthy recipes and cooking for diabetics.
Cooking Matters is a special healthy cooking class that serves low-income families at risk of hunger by educating and empowering them with skills, knowledge and confidence to make healthy, affordable meals. A chef and a nutritionist teach a series of six, two-hour classes. Students make meals in class and receive a bag of ingredients to practice recipes at home.
